RULES OF CONDUCT
Each customer of the Stevens County Rural Library District is entitled to fair, courteous, and equal treatment. To prevent infringements on these rights, customers are requested to follow rules of conduct to assure the safe, proper and pleasant use of the library.
1. No one has the right to interfere with anyone else's right to use the library.
2. Library customers shall engage in activities associated with the use of a public library. Patrons not reading, studying or using library materials or equipment may be required to leave the library building or space.
3. Library customers shall respect the rights of other customers. No one shall harass or annoy others through noisy or boisterous activities, by displaying print or non-print materials of an offensive nature to others, or by behaving in any manner than can be reasonably expected to disturb others. Personal hygiene shall conform to the standard of the community for public places.
4. The library staff will apply all local ordinances and state laws which govern behavior in public places as well as those regarding defacement, theft and vandalism of public property, including library materials.
5. Children under 9 must be supervised by a person 12 years or older.
