Subsection .700: Salary - Promotion
300.700 Salary - Increase on Promotion
Upon promotion to a position assigned to a higher classification, the employee shall be placed at the step of the new salary range which results in a salary increase of at least five percent.
300.710 Salary - Anniversary Date - Promotion
Upon promotion to a position with a higher classification, the employee’s anniversary date will be changed to the date at which the promotion is effective, according to section 300.600, Salary - Anniversary Date. Step increases will occur annually on the new anniversary date.
300.720 Salary - Concurrence of Promotion & Anniversary Date
When the date of promotion and the anniversary date coincide, the step increase, if applicable, shall be paid prior to the promotional increase. (See 300.620, item #3)
