MEET THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
KEITH REILLY is the Board Chairperson. Keith is a retired teacher (EWU graduate) who has lived at Loon Lake for more than 14 years. After retiring, he spent a year in Nishinomiya, Japan teaching junior high English. He has three sons and five (soon to be six) grandchildren. He has been a volunteer/career firefighter/EMT for over 25 years including more than six years a fire chief. He has been involved in city and county planning and was councilmember and Mayor of Deer Park. Term ends December 31, 2012.
PAMELA ROBERTS grew up in Williams Valley and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from Gonzaga University. Pam worked as a Staff Accountant for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in San Francisco for 7 years and Chicago for for 5 years. In 2007 Pam returned to Williams Valley to raise her 2 sons with her husband. Currently, Pam is employed as an Internal Auditor for the Washington State Community College District No. 17 (the Community Colleges of Spokane) and is a volunteer Treasurer for the Williams Valley Cemetery Association. Term ends December 31, 2014.
MELISSA STALP is a wife, mom, and avid life-long learner. She works as a registered nurse and assistant manager of the Acute Care Unit / Labor & Delivery at Providence Mount Carmel Hospital. Before having children and becoming a nurse, she was a middle school teacher. She truly appreciates the power of knowledge and respects this contribution that libraries make for our communities. Melissa views libraries as one of the greatest communal resources providing: books, videos, internet-access, information, programs and physical space for everyone. Libraries have been this resource for Melissa since she can remember. She brings leadership and innovation to the library board team for Stevens County in the hopes to further promote and propel our libraries into the future. Term ends December 31, 2013.
JOHN BRUGGER is recently retired from the US Army Reserve having served in Command and General Staff positions in the Northwest and is also retired from the United States Department of Agriculture where he was a Program Director for Community and Business Programs in Washington and Oregon. He is a certified NxLevel Business Trainer and Economic Development Consultant. John graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 1973 and has continued graduate work through City University with an emphasis in Finance and Management. During his career John has also served as a City Councilman, a Board member for a credit union, and as an officer and board member for several fraternal and non-profit organizations. During his career John became a fan of regional libraries through the frequent use of books on tape and to help him with his research projects as well as the many community services offered and available through the libraries. Most recently John helped finance the expansion and improvement of three rural libraries in Oregon through his USDA employment. John is married and has two grown children. He lives in Chewelah, WA. Term ends December 31, 2010.
CHARLIE COUSINS currently fulfills IT and report writing functions with Rural Resources Community Action in Colville and lives outside Ford. He has a bachelor’s in English with a minor in Comparative Literature and has starved as a professional technical and content editor in years gone by. Charlie is passionate about the place of libraries in our society, the result of having used them for everything from researching term papers to catching a break from the winter weather when he was living on the road as a young man. Even as the technological means of delivering library services evolve, the mission of the library remains the same and Charlie is committed to promoting that mission in Stevens County. Term ends December 31, 2011.
