Morgan Park History Program

MarGwen is the granddaughter of Evan and Johannah Morgan. Evan was born in Glamorganshire and immigrated to the United States when he was a young boy. When he was a young man, he moved west. He operated a saloon with his brother in Butte, MT. While he was in Butte, he met his future wife, Johannah Bahm. Johannah's brother was Charles Bahm who owned the general store in Loon Lake. Evan and Johannah were married in 1888 when she was 18 years old. Wesley Morgan was born in Butte MT in 1889, Evan, Junior was born in 1891 and Gwenllian came along in 1893. Within a year of when Gwen was born, the Morgan family would move to Loon Lake
