Morgan Park History Program
D.C. Corbin brought the train to Loon Lake in 1889 and the Morgan's moved here in 1894. D.C. Corbin started Loon Lake Park and platted the original townsite. Evan would work for him for several years as manager of the grounds and boathouse. In 1899, the Corbin's sold the resort to Johannah Morgan for $4,250. According to an article in the Spokane Daily Chronicle, the property consisted of 160 acres and lake front of one half mile
