Morgan Park History Program
One of the activities of the day was a tub race. This was a regular activity during company picnics at Morgan Park. The boys had lots of. Nearly all of the front page of that issue of the paper was devoted to this story.
Newspapers have been used to tell many stories from Loon Lake, like this one taken from the Chronicle in August of 1901.
