Morgan Park History Program

The wheel is visible in the background of this photograph which shows World War I troops camping at Morgan Park. The Ferris wheel was in operation into the 1920s. When it was dismantled, the gondolas from the Ferris wheel were used on the beach at Morgan Park. The Historical Society now has one located in the Centennial Park.
