His letter said, in part, "At present, I am driving a car for the corps headquarters. In that way I get a chance to see a whole lot of France. I am enclosing a small portion of a German Balloon that was brought down near here...I am trying to get a lot of souvenirs....I suppose that by the time you get this (letter) that the campers will be coming to the lake."
