Local people were encouraged to give testimonials about the lands and these were used to encourage sales. Lumberjack A.C. Swope has this to say: "I have lived in Loon Lake for 10 years working in a saw mill and ranching. I bought five acres from Loon Lake Irrigation Co. and am clearing and expect to plant it in apples. I am more than pleased with my tract and can recommend the Loon Lake Irrigation Company as being reliable and good people to do business with. I bought my land at $150 per acre and am paying for it on the monthly installment plan. I intend to engage in the poultry business as this country is adapted to poultry raising as well as being the best fruit section in the state, especially winter apples. I would not sell my land today for considerably more than I paid for it."
