The resort was also growing during this time. Baseball was a very popular activity in the small towns around Loon Lake. This photo was taken in Valley on May 7, 1911. Evan, junior, is in this photo, lying down in the front. Evan is on the right side. The Loon Lake team would play games throughout the area. At Morgan Park, Evan built a grandstand in 1912 to accommodate the spectators. Of course, this grandstand also came in handy when large picnics were held on the grounds.
