Morgan Park History Program

The Morgan family was changing. Mrs. Johannah Morgan passed away in 1910 when her children were 17 to 21 years old. Wesley, pictured here directly behind his father, married Hazel Ramsey of Butte, Montana on October 12, 1912 and would move away. Gwenllian, or Gwen as she was also called, would marry Neil McDermut and start a family. Evan, Jr. would work many jobs in the area including as a clerk for J.W. Dunlap. In later years, he would oversee the operations at the Loon Lake Copper and Silver Mine.
