Morgan Park History Program
Evan Jr. began operating the resort in 1924. Things went pretty well until the depression hit. Emma and Evan were determined to maintain the Park even though it meant finding work in other places. Emma went back to teaching at the Loon Lake School.
World War II brought renewed interest in the park. Even though gas rationing was in effect, the park became a popular destination for the increasing number of military people in the Spokane area
