Morgan Park History Program
A newspaper article from the Spokesman Review in 1951 reported that the resort continued to be operated by the Morgan family, but the boat livery had been discontinued, and the cottages were largely in the hands of private owners or seasonal renters. There were 301 private owners on the lake, lots sold for $750 to $2,500 and there were few building spots left. The lake level had been established at 2,381-1/2 feet maximum, after litigation involving more than 600 party defendants.
