Evan Morgan the third would receive his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Washington in 1956 and immediately settle in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he assumed duties with IBM. He met his wife, Johnnie Lu, who was working in New York City when a mutual friend brought him down to the City for the famous Village Art Show. They were married on Valentine's Day 1959
